IIFT 2019-2020 Result – How to Calculate IIFT Score?

 

 

The IIFT 2019-2020 result will be announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on December 11, 2019, on its official website. The candidates can download their result cum scorecard by using their IIFT application number and password or date of birth. The IIFT 2019-2020 scorecard will contain each candidate’s sectional and overall score of the exam.

The NTA conducted IIFT 2019-2020 exam on December 1 in online mode at 86 exam centres in 41 cities across India. About 30, 000 students took the exam. This year, the IIFT question paper was easier than the last five years in spite of having a different exam structure and marking scheme.

Candidates who appeared in the exam this year must know when and from where to download the IIFT 2020 result cum scorecard.

How to Download IIFT 2019-2020 Result

Once the result is announced, the candidates have to log on to the IIFT-NTA website and click on the ‘result’ tab. A new window will open in which, the candidates have to enter their IIFT application number and password or date of birth. As the candidate enter the required information and click on submit, the result tab will be displayed. The candidates have to click on the result tab to access the scorecard in PDF format.

The IIFT 2020 result cum scorecard will contain candidate’s name, the application number, date of birth, category, sectional score and overall score. All these details are important for IIFT admission process. Thus, in case any information is missing on the scorecard, the candidates must contact the examination authorities.

How to calculate the IIFT score

The IIFT score is calculated on the basis of marks scored in each section. IIFT marking scheme includes negative marking. For each right answer in Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation sections, 3 marks are awarded while 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer. In the General Knowledge section, 1 mark is awarded for each right answer and 0.5 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.  Marks scored by the candidate in each section are totalled to arrive at overall IIFT score.

What after IIFT result?

After the declaration of result, IIFT institute begins the admission process for its MBA-International Business programme offered at its all three campuses – IIFT Delhi, IIFT-Kolkata and IIFT-Kakinada. A list of shortlisted candidates is released and essay writing, group discussion and personal interview round are conducted.

The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their IIFT score and academic record. Those, who clear the essay writing, group discussion and personal interview round will receive an offer of admission by the institute.

For shortlisted candidates, a minimum cut off will be fixed. Candidates who will meet the minimum cut off marks will be eligible for being selected for essay writing, group discussion and personal interview round.

IIFT will conduct the essay writing, group discussion and personal interview in the months of January and February 2020 in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
